Little Buds
Through our partnership with Telford & Wrekin Family Hubs we have been asked to create a run a Stay & Play group aimed at families with premature babies or those that have had a stay on the Neonatal unit.
We have collaborated with midwives and the Neonatal unit to ensure the group meets the needs of families.
Our Stay & Play group ‘Little Buds’ launched in July and is headed up by a member of staff who has lived experience of the Neonatal unit and a pre term baby.
Our first session was a huge success and was attend by around 8 families and supported by a team from the Neonatal unit.
The aim of the group is to allow the parents to meet others and gain mutual peer support, whilst allowing the children to play together in a supported and welcoming environment.
Little Buds runs on a Monday during term time only, 10am – 11.30 at our PODS Hub, 1 Hawksworth Road, Central Park, Telford, TF2 9TU.
Sessions are free to attend and open to any family who lives in Telford and Wrekin and has a baby or child aged 0-5 years who has had a stay on the Neonatal unit or been born prematurely.
